Sergio was born in Santiago Chile on April 4th, 1975, the youngest of a Chilean family. Sergio's parents had hoped that his only son would follow a career in business, but it soon became clear that he wanted to become an artist.

He studied briefly at Otis College of Design, but decided to leave for academic reasons. A few years later, he entered the prestigious realm of Art Center College of Design and went under the wings of many talented professors where the best art education was to be had.

Sergio is influenced a lot by the old masters and implements techniques such as those used hundreds of years ago. He is concerned with direct, realistic and surreal painting. An enthusiasm he absorbed and that reflects in much of his work.

Sergio is now a full time Art Director for a manufacturing company in Los Angeles and paints every day as he arrives home from work.
