La Covacha Rocanrol
Aproximately 7 years ago, La Covacha's history began.
Giving their first shows to no more than 70 people around
the year of 1993 didn't extinguish the hopes of the band members
to continue on their quest.
With a classy-rock
style, they not only incorporate conventional instruments,
but violonchelo, accordion, charango, harmonica among others
as well, giving to the band a certain touch that at times
resemble works from bands like El Tri from Mexico,
and Los Rabanes of Argentina.
Working intensely
offering shows at varied Argentine zones, in which, could
be emphasized 6 " Arpegios " in the year '97, with a full
place in all the occasions. Little by little its popularity
among people was growing, so much that they were caught in
the necessity to grant more than a date.
La Covacha
will return to Quilmes, their neighborhood, constantly while
the masses grew with their constant shows at the "Salon
Cervecero" and during the presentation of their album,
which took place at the "Costanera". More than a
thousand people congragated to receibe the newest Covacha's
production.
Their discography
begins in '94 with a small production that carried the name
of "Hay que Gritar (We Have To Scream)",
made on a studio of low technical resources in the city of
Quilmes. Por El Mismo Camino (By The Same Way),
their newest album, hit the streets on the middle of '99.
This album was recorded between October and December of the
98 in Nono, Cordova. The recording has special guests: Alexander
Sokol and the artistic production was in charge of Gustavo
Jove.
